Things to Consider
*recreational class is designed to encourage participation without the pressure or costs associated with the more competitive professional classes. It gives teams a chance to get on the course and enjoy the experience without going head-to-head with seasoned veterans. The recreational class has a lower entry fee to make it accessible to more people, especially newcomers or hobbyists. Unlike the competitive classes that offer a cash payouts based on placement, the recreational classes offer no monetary rewards. Winners will still receive awards.
Registered Northern Breeds
Got a team of registered Siberians, Malamutes, or Samoyeds? Teams composed of these breeds will be separated into a “Registered Northern Breed Class.”
All classes will be timed, single-start unless otherwise specified. All race entries must be received via TCDPS website. No phone, email, social media, or fax entries will be accepted except on a case by case situation.

Twin Cities Dog Powered Sports encourages all interested in learning about this awesome sport to come out and try it! We love our Novice Teams and want everyone to be successful.
The first class will start at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday (day 1) and 8:00 a.m. on Sunday (day 2) unless otherwise noted. Times may change weather depending. The class order is as follows: 6 Dog Rig, 4 Dog Rig, 2 Dog Bikejor, 1 Dog Bikejor, 2 Dog Scooter, 1 Dog Scooter, Junior Wheeled Classes (Rig, Bikejor, Scooter), Canicross (Men’s, Women’s, Junior)
Who Can Participate
All breeds and mixes are eligible.
Dogs may not be pregnant or nursing.
Novice Teams are welcome.
It is important to ensure your dog is appropriately conditioned to the mileage and trail conditions.
Dogs must be free of disease and injury and cannot be on any performance enhancing drugs.
Only dogs who participate on Saturday are eligible to participate on Sunday. You may drop or remove a dog from a team as long as your team still meets minimum size requirements.
Equipment
Helmets are required for all wheeled classes (rig, bicycle, and scooter). Muzzles or any collar that can be hooked as a full choke are prohibited.
