Hey competitors! The big weekend is fast approaching and here at TCDPS, we are so excited to see you all!
Weight Pullers
Please plan on parking in the parking lot for the Keweenaw National Historical Park Visitor Center at 98 5th St, Calumet, MI 49913 (purple). The chute (red) will be starting on the corner of Scott and 5th street. If you have a cold loving dog, we ask that you consider parking further back so our folks coming from warm climates with the short-haired canines can keep their dogs adequately warm between pulls. Sunday Pull: as we no longer need to get off the snow road by noon, registration will start at 0800, with the pull itself starting at 0900. We will not be ending the pull promptly at noon.
Mini-Mushers
Please plan to park on Portland between 4th and 5th (blue). If you park elsewhere, please avoid walking by the weight pull chute with your dog while a competing dog is in the chute. And a gentle reminder for those bringing canines – many weight pull dogs get really fired up for competitions! Please do not allow your dogs or children to interact with the weight pull dogs unless you have their handler’s permission. We will have a limited assortment of helmets plus a wide assortment of harnesses. If you have a bike, ski or snowboard helmet, feel free to bring it.
Doing both? Bringing a big rig?
Now we know some of you are doing both events. If you are in a car, park with the other weight pullers (purple). However if you are hauling a trailer with dogs or picketing dogs, we ask that you plan to park on 5th street south of Scott or along Scott between 5th and 6th (orange).

Have more questions? Email us at info@tcdps.org!
We can’t wait to see all of you a week from today!!!

The CopperDash is a fun run for kids ages 4-12! Your very own mini-musher can race with their canine best friend 🐕 and a helmet (such as a bike, ski or hockey) down the CopperDog snow road. Sleds and harnesses will be provided!! Don’t have a helmet or a dog, we will have a limited assortment of dogs (and helmets) available. Big shout out to Miller’s Recreation and Butler’s Pro Shoppe who made this event FREE! Big thanks to CD Kennels Malamutes & Rescues who have made this event possible.
