🤩 Wow, does CopperDog have a weekend planned!

March 1st, 2nd, & 3rd, everything from a street party, food, music, fireworks, movies, a dinner, and dogs, so many dogs…

And here at TCDPS, we are beyond thrilled to be joining them in hosting the CopperPull, a World Wide Weight Pull Organization-sanctioned canine weight pull! See dogs of all sizes compete to pull the most weight down the CopperDog snow road. Got a power puller? Try your hand against dogs from across the country to win prizes and dog food! This event is all possible thanks to Carmelitas a Southwestern Grille and Pat’s Foods!

Have a mini-musher?
The CopperDash is a fun run for kids ages 4-12! Your very own mini-musher can race with their canine best friend 🐕 and a helmet (such as a bike, ski or hockey) down the CopperDog snow road. Sleds and harnesses will be provided!! Don’t have a helmet or a dog, we will have a limited assortment of dogs (and helmets) available. Big shout out to Miller’s Recreation and Butler’s Pro Shoppe who made this event FREE! Big thanks to CD Kennels Malamutes & Rescues who have made this event possible.

Stay tuned for more intel or check us out at TCDPS.org

Attn Weight Pullers…

Hello Northern Pines Sled Dog Race, Iron River, Wisconsin Weight Pullers!

While we are saddened to not be able to enjoy the Northern Pines Sled Dog race this year, the weight pull is still a go! Right now I am hearing reports that conditions are borderline, but we are prepared to host a wheeled pull on carpet if conditions are not favorable for a snow pull. If we host a wheeled pull, this will be the very first W3PO sanctioned wheeled pull in Wisconsin!

In anticipation of this, we have decided to move the match to the back patio of the clubhouse. I’ve attached a map with a star where I plan to set up the chute. If you plan to set up kennels, please set them up on the sides of the building where they are not visible to dogs in the chute. I do not know what direction I will be running the chute – feel free to check in with me Saturday morning if your kennel set is dependent on the direction of the pull or if you are using your car as a kennel. If you’ve previously attended Northern Pines Sled Dog Race, we will be where the mushers would normally park.

The club house will be open to us. If you go in, please welcome the volunteers from Chequamegon Humane Association, who will be hosting an adoption event inside the club house.

And one last reminder – W3PO events always accept same day registration. I will have a limited assortment of loaner harnesses available as well. So feel free to drag your friends and family! See you all soon!
